Cottonwood plate

This plate showcases beautiful markings of gray and some light pink. These markings are left when a tree converts sugar into a defensive substance. Usually to fight disease or predators. The coloring is often mistaken as a type of spalting This plate was made from a fallen branch, the history of the tree is unknown.
